After receiving a Bachelors degree in English Literature from Stella Maris College, Chennai, Virangna went on to trained at Kalakshetra College of Fine Arts, Chennai. She went on to study pottery under the tutelage of the legendary Mini Singh and Late Jugal Kishore at Andretta Pottery, Himachal as well as Vipul Kumar, ceramic artist at Studio Drishtivaak, Rajasthan. She has been mentored by Aurovillian artist, Supriya Menon, an alumni of Golden Bridge Pottery, Pondicherry . Virangna has also attended a workshop at Golden Bridge Pottery Studio, Pondicherry under American Artist Tim Rowan, 2015. In 2016 she assisted ceramic artist Vineet Kakkar on his solo show ‘Should I look for You, Should I lose myself…’, at Gallery Art Positive, New Delhi. In early 2017, Virangna briefly also worked out of Golden Bridge Pottery Studio, Pondicherry as an artist- in -residence. In 2018, after a national group show at AKFD Studios, Jaipur, she was invited to KYATA Residency, Himachal Pradesh as a visiting artist.
For a brief period she apprenticed with installation artist Sudarshan Shetty, Mumbai and then went on to gain valuable experience in the management of an artist residency by taking up work as a Studio Manager at ‘The Last Ship’, artist residency program at Mumbai.
She has also held pottery workshops at the Gaara Studio at The Shilaroo Project in addition to being the pottery teacher at Isha Home School for two terms, Coimbatore.

The Project will receive mentoring from Anita Kainthla, a published writer. Anita has freelanced for various magazines like Woman’s Era, India Currents ( an Indian-American Magazine) and Reading Hour, writing mostly travel articles, short stories and features. Her poems have appeared in the Journal of Poetry Society of India. She has three books to her credit ‘Moksha and other poems’, which won the third prize in Indo-Asian Literature Poetry contest in 2004, a biography of the renowned social activist Baba Amte (Viva Books Pvt. Ltd., 2005) and ‘Tale of Tibet’ which traces the religious and historical background of Tibet via Buddhism (Viva Books, 2011). A short story of hers was shortlisted for the Push Cart Prize in 2012.
She was also contracted by Ms Megha Bajaj, CEO at Wonder of Words, Mumbai, for writing English grammar and literature books for classes 1 to 8, which have been incorporated by schools across Mumbai and Chennai in their school syllabi.

Mountaineer & Mentor

Col. S S Sharma’s zeal for all things ‘adventure’ is scarcely credible. From Mountaineering, to trekking, Rescue Operations, to River Rafting, the list is inexhaustible. Unsurprisingly then he has been been honored with the highest possible appointments, which to to name a few are:
Director Mountaineering & Allied Sports Manali, Project Director INDO-NORAD PROJECT in Himachal Pradesh under Institutional CO-operation between DMAS Manali and Norwegian Ski Association, Chairman of standing selection committee for the trails and selection of various national teams representing India in International meets in selected India skiing team for winter

Adventure Activities Mentor

​Col. S C Sharma is a highly decorated soldier whose name is synonymous with adventure. Currently he is the Vice-Chairman of the IMF (Indian Mountaineering Foundation. Previously he has served two tenures at HAWS (High Altitude Warfare School) in Gulmarg and one term as Vice Principal at HMI (Himalayan Mountaineering Institute) at Darjeeling.
He has been conferred with the Tenzing Norgay National Adventure lifetime achievement award for the year 2014.
Col. Sharma’s passion and dedication towards adventure sports is very evident when one takes a look of at his career chart that is infused with unbelievable daring feats achieved. He has been once leader and once deputy leader of the Everest Expedition of the Indian Army. He has also been a part of 20 expeditions in all, 5 of which have been International ones.
As a stalwart soldier he has been awarded the Shaurya Chakra (SC) as well as the Vashisht Sewa Medal (VSM) for his gallantry and commitment to serving the nation.
