What is Hatha Yoga?
‘Ha’ meaning Sun and ‘tha’ meaning Moon. ‘Ha-tha’ means to bring a certain cohesiveness between these two major forces that make up this body. Every moment of our life, everything that we do is being controlled by these two forces. Hatha Yoga is a cohesive experience of working the body, breath, mind and inner self to be in control of ourselves.
This practice stems from a thorough understanding of our body mechanics, and uses a range of yogic postures, or yogasanas, to enable our system to attain and sustain higher energy levels. Through the practice of this science, we can change and enhance the way we experience life.
Our Hatha Yoga program offers in-depth modules of yogic postures which do not require any special physical agility or prior experience of yoga.
Shilaroo Project and Hatha Yoga
At the Shilaroo Project, the classical Hatha Yoga will be taught at Yogavastha (yoga studio) by Shubhangna Kainthla, who trained as a Hatha yoga teacher in 2012 at the Isha Hatha School of Yoga, Coimbatore, under the direct guidance and grace of the realized Yogi, Mystic and Visionary Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev. The aim of the project is to extend and share the space here for teaching Hatha Yoga in its purest classical form.
Isha Hatha Yoga School delivers classical Hatha Yoga in its full depth and dimension. It is Sadhguru’s vision to offer this ancient science in all its purity and make it available to every individual. As a step towards realizing this vision, he has devised the Hatha Yoga Teacher Training Program. In this program, Hatha Yoga will be taught as a living experience in the most beautiful ashram setting of the Isha Yoga Center, India under the grace of a living master. Upon completion of the program, trainees will have the privilege and fulfillment of bringing this knowledge to many more people.
